Design of gene clusters and polygenic constructs:

Gene clusters are usually groups of genes that are either genetically or functionally linked. This is, for example, the case, in some biosynthetic pathways you find in microorganisms, e.g. polyketide synthase complexes. These can be assembled by a combination of smart gene cluster design, gene synthesis and appropriate multi-gene expression systems.

ATG offers solution at all of these levels:
  • Synthetic bioinformatics prowess to e.g. analyze promoters and select the most powerful ones, or balancing expression between genes - see EvoMag and Optimizations
  • Gene synthesis to realize any design and to generate complete multi-gene cassettes
  • Multi-gene construction systems, e.g. our various Toggle or the MultiLabel systems, to build extensive gene cluster assemblies
